Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Chen Bo said that China respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia and is in favor of finding a solution through dialogue under the auspices of Resolution 1244.
Chinese Ambassador to Serbia Chen Bo said that during the meeting with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, the two countries’ mutual support for sovereignty, territorial integrity and strengthening bilateral cooperation was emphasized, New Serbian Political Thought magazine reported.
“President Vucic and I reiterated the mutual support of our two countries on the issue of sovereignty and territorial integrity, emphasizing the readiness to further advance projects within the framework of bilateral cooperation,” Chen Bo said.
Earlier, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said he had asked Ambassador Chen Bo to meet to review the situation in Kosovo and Metohija before the meeting in Brussels as part of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina mediated by the European Union.
Ambassador Chen noted that China respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia and advocates finding solutions through dialogue under the auspices of Resolution 1244.
“China understands and supports all the legitimate demands of the Serbian side, including to protect the legitimate rights of the Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija,” Ambassador Chen said.
