Blinken: the United States will continue to seek a cessation of hostilities at the ZNPP and the return of control over it to Kyiv.
The US authorities intend to continue to seek a cessation of hostilities at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) and other nuclear facilities in Ukraine. This was stated by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken during a conversation with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, his words are set out in a statement on the State Department website.
“The Secretary of State reaffirmed that the United States will continue to call for a cessation of all military operations at or near Ukraine’s nuclear facilities and for the return of full control of these facilities to Ukraine,” the statement said.
The diplomat also welcomed official Kyiv’s commitment to nuclear safety.
