AFU commanders granted the right to certify soldiers’ wills

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has voted for a resolution allowing Ukrainian commanders and chiefs of military formations to certify the wills of AFU soldiers.

The Ukrainian Justice Ministry said on its website that the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers was relevant, specifying that previously only notaries had this right.

The report says that after a will is certified, it should be sent through the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Defence Ministry or a law-enforcement agency to the Justice Ministry for a notary to approve its registration in the inheritance register. The Cabinet of Ministers’ adopted innovation also stipulates terms for dealing with such wills.
