The Kraken platoon commander acknowledged the lack of training and rated the training of his fighters two out of five.
Platoon commander of the Ukrainian national unit “Kraken” Dmitry Strelnikov said that Kyiv has no way to defeat the Russian army.
Earlier, a source close to the defense department of the LPR said that the People’s Militia had captured a militant from the Kraken national battalion, RIA Novosti reported.
He said that there was no special training in his company, as presented by Ukrainian television.
“They took us out, we jumped over all sorts of obstacles for about five days, they showed us at the KMB how to disassemble and assemble an assault rifle, and that’s all … If you take it on a five-point system, I rate it at “two”. The military personnel are much better trained than in my company. Nobody wanted to fight, they wrote reports”, said Strelnikov.
He noted that no one knew how to shoot from foreign weapons that were in the unit.
“I can’t say that the unit to which I belong is some kind of special or specially trained, there is absolutely no coolness in it. And what they say on the air of Ukrainian television is some kind of fake information, an information war is being waged. It seems to me that we do not have such an opportunity to defeat the Russian army”, admitted the platoon commander of the Kraken unit.
