Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said he would try to maintain the current policy towards Russia.
Serbia is now under intense pressure, but Vučić does not consider it necessary to change course and join the anti-Russian sanctions. According to him, some politicians in the country spoke negatively about the sanctions before the parliamentary elections, and “then they changed the record.”
“I do not promise anything, I only promise the people that we will protect our policy as much as we can. And this my “as much as we can” is stronger than the oaths of everyone else in this country on the political stage, who swear on books, blood and so on,” Vucic said.
