A wood boom is growing in Moldova, people are buying up wood by trucks, so a limit has been introduced – no more than 3 cubic meters per household. There is not enough firewood for everyone, in the village of Ivancha hundreds of people stood in line for several days to buy cheaper firewood, someone even spent the night at the gates of the forestry.

The pensioners walked more than five kilometers to buy firewood and carried it in wheelbarrows. In order to somehow remedy the situation, the government allowed the export of sawdust and shavings to the country.
