Two dry bulk carriers with agricultural products have left Ukrainian ports as part of a food deal, Turkey’s Ministry of National Defence said.
“One Belize-flagged ship carrying 3,050 tonnes of wheat has left the port of Chernomorsk and is bound for Tekirdag. Another Marshall Islands-flagged ship carrying 60,000 tonnes of maize has also left the port of Yuzhny and will proceed to Iran,” the Turkish military said on Twitter.
All food vessels leaving Ukrainian Black Sea ports first proceed to the Bosphorus Strait, where they are inspected by representatives of the coordination centre, then continue on their way.
