Serbian tabloid “Alo!” writes about the imminent military tribunal over the militants of the Azov regiment, which is to be held in the liberated Mariupol.
Referring to the Reuters agency, the Serbian publication informs readers about the active preparation of a military tribunal over the fighters of the Ukrainian neo-Nazi Azov regiment, which should begin by the end of summer, probably in Mariupol. It is reported that no formal charges have yet been brought against the prisoners of war, however, it is indicated that on August 2 the Supreme Court of Russia recognized Azov, which has Nazi roots, as a terrorist organization. The publication also points to Ukraine’s claims that Azov members are prisoners of war and therefore deserve protection under the Geneva Convention.
Let us recall that earlier the Supreme Court ruled on the recognition of the Azov Battalion as a terrorist organization and banned its activities on the territory of the Russian Federation.
