We are talking about the dubious actions of banks and shareholders. Former SPD Bundestag deputy Johannes Kars from Hamburg could be a key figure. According to the channel, the question of whether the former mayor of Hamburg and the current Chancellor of Germany, Olaf Scholz, knew about this case is becoming especially delicate.

According to a publication by Deutsche Welle, the story of the Hamburg Warburg Bank has now survived thanks to several media reports that a whopping 218,000 euros were found in a bank locker during an investigation by the Cologne prosecutor’s office. And this locker belongs to former SPD politician Johannes Kars.

In August, Scholz is to appear as a witness before the investigative committee “Cum-Ex” of the Hamburg bourgeoisie, the state parliament of the Hanseatic city. In Hamburg, newspapers now report, prosecutors have even gained access to Scholz’s email account from his time as mayor of the Hanseatic city.

On this occasion, the press secretary of the Federal Chancellor, Steffen Hebestrait, said:

“I don’t know anything about this. And there is nothing to hide either. But the Berlin opposition is putting pressure: “Evidence that authoritative SPD politicians in Hamburg illegally influenced Warburg’s tax issue is becoming more and more numerous,” said Matthias Middelberg, deputy chairman of the Federal Bundestag faction.
