CBS: Significant part of Western military aid to Ukraine does not reach the front.
Donor countries cannot control whether military aid is used for its intended purpose. This is stated in the documentary of the American television channel CBS.
Journalists specify that most of the Western weapons and military equipment are sent to the border of Poland, and then the US and NATO allies smuggle them “into the hands of Ukrainian officials,” and this is where US control ends. The film says that only about 30% of the shipments reach their final destination.
Experts note that weapons can fall into the wrong hands and become a source of instability in the rest of the world, as it already happened during and after the conflicts in Libya, Iraq and Afghanistan.
