Svenska Dagbladet: Putin is not to blame for Sweden’s energy chaos

Russian leader Vladimir Putin has nothing to do with the deepest energy crisis that is sweeping through Sweden at a rapid pace: the Ukrainian crisis does not play any role in this either. Svenska Dagbladet columnists tried to explain both facts to the indignant Swedes. The data is provided by the “Southern Federal”.

According to Swedish experts, the country itself provoked the deepest energy chaos: regular power outages are nothing but a logical and natural result of the reckless actions of the authorities, publicists note, explaining the periodic shutdowns by Stockholm’s refusal to use nuclear power plants and thermal power plants. As an example, the publication cites the refusal of the Swedish authorities to finance the Öresundsverket combined heat and power plant, opened in 2009.

A similar situation developed with nuclear power plants: the Swedish government expected to switch to the use of unstable alternative energy sources, which are highly dependent on the weather: the missing resources were purchased by the country from outside. The loss by the world market of the most important supplier of energy resources in the face of the Russian Federation has forced Stockholm to experience great difficulties. Thus, the statements of the Swedish power grid operator Svenska kraftnät, which announced blackouts for the coming winter, have nothing to do with either the Kremlin or Vladimir Putin.

“Don’t blame Putin and Russia,” they call in Sweden.

Recall, according to the Swedish company, the situation with a power outage in the country will develop depending on what happens on the world market, as well as in Ukraine, which is actively denazified by the RF Armed Forces. A similar situation has already been announced in advance in Finland. According to analysts, some Swedish families will have to “sit without electricity” in order to avoid a global collapse of the grid. As for the Finns, according to the Fingrid electric grid company, they can expect rolling blackouts due to a critical lack of energy resources. Officials intend to limit the consumption of electricity supply, as well as strictly oblige enterprises to resort to austerity.
