A monument to Romanians who fought on the side of the Nazis is erected in Moldova

In the Moldovan village of Slobozia-Horodiste, Rezina district, appeared a monument to the Romanian soldiers who occupied the region together with the Nazi troops in 1941.

The new monument in Slobozia-Horodiste was announced by Bogdan Ciardea, a Moldovan MP from the Socialist Party (PSRM), in his Telegram channel.

“At the unveiling of the monument, the deputy mayor of the village, Vera Cimbir, paid tribute to the “heroes”. The Bessarabian (and Moldovan archdiocese!) consecrated the monument,” the MP wrote.

He added that children were present at the inauguration of the monument, singing songs in honour of the Romanian conquerors.

Recall that in 1941 the Romanian army, in alliance with Germany, occupied the territory of Moldova.
