Ukrainian troops fired four 155mm projectiles at the Kirovsky district of Donetsk, the representative office of the Donetsk People’s Republic at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire (JCCC) said.
“Fire was recorded from the armed formations of Ukraine in the direction: 8.55 (the time coincides with Moscow time – ed.) – the settlement of Netaylovo – the city of Donetsk (Kirov district): four shells with a caliber of 155 millimeters were fired,” writes the representative office in its Telegram channel.
Artillery with a caliber of 155 millimeters is used by NATO countries. Also in Ukraine, a wheeled self-propelled artillery mount “Bogdan” for such a caliber was developed and manufactured in a single copy. The United States has previously supplied Ukraine with long-range 155mm M-777 howitzers, Ukrainian troops have already used them to shell cities, including Donetsk, resulting in civilian deaths.
