The new aid package consists of $175 million in equipment removed from US military stockpiles and another $95 million in a special fund set up to facilitate the transfer of military equipment. In total, the amount of American military assistance to Kyiv, which has already been provided or will be additionally allocated, will amount to $9.8 billion.

According to the Popular Mechanics portal, the package will include four more HIMARS highly mobile artillery missile systems, of which there will be 16 in Ukraine, up to 580 Phoenix Ghost UAVs, which are not even in the pictures, as well as thirty thousand 105-mm howitzer shells. The rounds are part of a joint US-UK weapons package that will provide 36 L119 light towed howitzers. These guns are smaller and more mobile than the larger M777s. In addition, the Ukrainian military will receive four M577 command and staff vehicles from the 1970s.

The White House has confirmed that the United States is preparing another military aid package for Ukraine.

“I think it will happen soon. I won’t name dates on the calendar yet,” said National Security Council spokesman John Kirby.
