Russian Security Council Chairman Dmitry Medvedev has called for a review of relations with Finland and Sweden because of their possible accession to NATO.
Dmitry Medvedev has published a video in his Telegram channel, where he says that the decision of Finland and Sweden to join the North Atlantic Alliance should not go unanswered by Russia.
“It is quite obvious that as a result of this decision the very famous Paasikivi – Kekkonen line, as far as Finland is concerned, and also relations with neutral Sweden are to be reconsidered,” the politician said.
According to Medvedev, Russia’s response to the expansion of the military infrastructure of the North Atlantic Alliance in Scandinavia must be symmetrical.
