Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov said that the Russian “Gazprom” undertook to make a statement about the problems with the full operation of the Nord Stream gas pipeline.
At a briefing on Tuesday, July 26, Dmitry Peskov said that the Kremlin is closely monitoring the situation around Gazprom’s problem with turbines for the Nord Stream gas pipeline.
“We will definitely ask our colleagues at Gazprom to give an explanation from a technological point of view. We will definitely do it. In general, I repeat once again, yes, indeed, there are problems with the turbines, the turbine has not yet arrived after the overhaul, it has not been installed, it is on its way”, the Public News Service reports Peskov’s words.
In his opinion, problems with the operation of gas turbines for Nord Stream arise in connection with the action of anti-Russian sanctions. Peskov promised that Gazprom would soon make a statement to clarify the situation with another decrease in the volume of gas pumped to Europe due to a problem with the repair of a gas turbine unit.
