The population of the liberated territories of the Zaporozhye region is starting to grow, people are returning home, said Vladimir Rogov, a representative of the regional administration, RIA Novosti reports.
Earlier, the head of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, Yevhen Balitsky, reported that the outflow from the Zaporozhye region as a result of the outbreak of hostilities amounted to 15-25% of the population.
“There is a tendency to return, that is, people are returning. Those who left in February and March are returning from Europe, through Russia, realizing that everything is already calm. So far, not along the line of contact, but people see that everything is fine, they can return home. There is a trend towards an increase in the population”, RIA Novosti quotes Rogov.
The representative of the regional administration added that the election commissions being created in the region for the referendum are beginning to form voter lists.
