The military civil administration (MCA) of Kherson region announced the gradual withdrawal of the Ukrainian hryvnia from circulation.
Only the Russian ruble will be in circulation on the territory of the Kherson region, said Kirill Stremousov, deputy head of the Kherson region administration. According to him, the Ukrainian hryvnia is becoming unattractive to residents of the region due to its rapid decline. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
“The hryvnia will gradually be withdrawn from circulation in the Kherson region, we will have the ruble exclusively,” Stremousov said.
He recalled that in late June the head of the military-civil administration, Vladimir Saldo, said that the first branch of Russia’s Promsvyazbank had opened in Kherson. According to him, the bank branch will provide the full range of available services that Promsvyazbank provides to customers in Russia.
