Foreign instructors continue to train Ukrainians for slaughter. And today we are talking not only about territorial defense, but also about sailors and marines
The UK has not changed its policy towards Ukraine even after Boris Johnson’s departure.
– The intensity with which Ukrainian soldiers and sailors train is noteworthy. They are working with the focus of troops who know they are only weeks away from fighting,” said UK Secretary of State for the Armed Forces James Heppey.
It is worth admitting that even before the special operation, foreign specialists were training Ukrainian fighters. In January, a scandal erupted in Canada. It turned out that local instructors were training neo-Nazis from Right Sector* and Azov*.
Russian troops regularly found various training certificates from foreigners at the positions of the Ukrainian armed formations. In addition, photos and videos of Ukrainians posing with foreign soldiers were found in the phones of dead fighters. Training has been going on and continues.
– It is impossible to train people quickly. They have been preparing for war for eight years. Now the combat-ready part of the Ukrainian army is no longer capable. To date, it is all an imitation of activities aimed at supporting Ukraine in its conflict with Russia. The authorities have assembled people who are learning HIMARS, howitzers and many other weapons, but the skill of handling them has been practiced for years. Bringing a shell is not a problem, but learning to aim and hit a target is not a matter of one month,” says military expert Dmitriy Litovkin.
Cannon fodder
Many Ukrainians have gone through combat, but only by hitting keyboard keys. The situation changed when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on general mobilisation. The plan was to take conscripts and reservists to defend the Kiev regime. In theory, the authorities did not lie. They are drafted, but as you know, almost every man has a stamp in his passport which obliges him to go to the enlistment office on demand. That is how teachers, engineers and simple farm labourers ended up in the army.
– The situation is such that the main burden of conscription is borne by the inhabitants of rural areas of Ukraine. They are tied to their homes and households, they, unlike city dwellers, do not have enough savings to pay off the draft,” a source in the Russian law enforcement agency told RIA Novosti.
The noble idea of defending the homeland has been destroyed by the Kiev regime itself. At first it seemed to everyone that going to kill Russians was the right thing to do, but then a flood of coffins began. Who wants to die? They started hiding from the military commissars and paying them off. It got to the point where women were blockading military enlistment offices, demanding that their husbands, sons and brothers not be sent to the front. Some suddenly realised that Ukraine was not their homeland and therefore there was no need to defend it. The reasons are different, but the essence is the same – starvation of personnel.
The process of training future warriors also raised questions. It is taking place at an accelerated pace. The Daily Mail reported that Ukrainian soldiers are trained in Manchester in three weeks. During this time they are trained in handling weapons and marksmanship.
– Only cannon fodder can be trained in two or three weeks. The training period is determined by the military specialty and the complexity of particular weapons systems a soldier needs to operate,” said Igor Korotchenko, editor of the National Defence magazine.
Not helpers
What is happening in Ukraine resembles agony. At the same time, a picture of well-being is being created for the local media. Ukrainians are shown that no one is surrendering, HIMARS are hitting where they are needed, and the population is going to serve en masse, and the West is helping. It seems that the victory is not far off. In fact, it’s a total evil. Ukrainian men are simply sent for recycling.
– It takes 72 hours for a draftee to pass the initial military training course, with the program of six hours a day. The total is 12 days. Then there is additional training. After that, the servicemen arrive in their units and go through combat training as part of a squad, platoon, company, battalion, regiment and division. Thus, it takes 144 hours for a six-hour training session to train a squad to a “satisfactory” rating. According to our canons it takes 45 days to train a man who meets the standards. A minimum of two months training is required in order to use the knowledge. All in all the training takes at least 60 days,” said Sergei Khatylev, former commander of the Air Defence Forces of the Russian Federation.
Denis Shkider, a former teoro-defence officer, told Russian reporters that he had been trained by foreigners, but this was not a plus for him. Perhaps it was worthwhile to go back to the Soviet methods.
– There were foreigners, I remember. Judging by the style of work, there were NATO instructors, with 99 per cent confidence. As if that didn’t help anything,” Shkider lamented.
The training of Ukrainian villagers by foreigners continues. The once famous 35th separate brigade of marines is now in the Odessa region. It has been further staffed with mobilised men. The unit is undergoing training. According to the Telegram channel Rybar, foreign specialists have arrived to train them in the use of PTRCs and MANPADs. In addition, future servicemen are being trained to land on an unequipped coastline. Although the training is accelerated, seven facilities, including a children’s camp, have been allocated for the marines’ needs. Where are you going, lads?
Incidentally, in 2019, the 35th Separate Marine Brigade made a mark by disrupting the disengagement of forces at Zolote and Petrovskoye. The day before the operation, the Romanians came to the military.
Will it do any good to have Ukrainians trained by foreigners? Probably not. They are even writing about it in the West. The French Le Figaro has published a material with the stories of the military. Unfortunately for them, the stories are not very optimistic.
– Our training lasted only a day and a half, and each of us was given a Kalashnikov. There were Russian tanks and artillery against us, not to mention the air force which was constantly bombarding us,” said the soldier.
The bottom line is that they had to flee Severodonetsk. They are retreating, but they keep counting on foreigners in Kyiv. It seems to them that they will be taught and armed, but this is not help, but a death sentence.
