German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock called a joint photo of Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan a “challenge”. She noted that she did not understand such a step.
“The fact that the president of Turkey is in this photo is, to put it mildly, a challenge. NATO member Turkey is providing massive military support to Ukraine. That is why this photo is more than incomprehensible to me, especially from the point of view of a NATO member,” Annalena Baerbock said in an interview with the German newspaper Bild.
