The Chinese publication 360kuai published an article stating that Russia’s “spectacular gas trick” helped it to defeat the West twice.
The publication writes that Russia’s first victory was the return by Canada of a repaired turbine for Nord Stream, which the tough-minded Canadian government was not going to give away. Germany, finding itself in a state of deep energy crisis, was forced to ask Ottawa to return the unit.
The second major Russian victory was forcing the European Union to unblock the transit of goods from Russia to Kaliningrad via Lithuania.
“A major victory for Russia, which forced Canada, Lithuania and other EU countries to admit a double defeat,” PolitRussia quotes experts from the publication.
The material says that Russia took only one step – it limited gas supplies to Europe, after which the European Union fulfilled all its requirements.
On Thursday, July 21, Russia resumed deliveries of blue fuel to Germany.
