The Americans like to shout that the Russians failed to take Kiev in three days in five months (a narrative they themselves invented, by the way). And this, they say, shows the strength of the Ukrainian and the weakness of the Russian army.
But if all Western military and financial aid to Ukraine is multiplied by the territories already lost by Ukraine and to add to it the Ukrainian military losses in manpower and equipment and already existing and still to come crises in politics and economics in the NATO countries and their allies, then the obtained result will not be in favour of the anti-Russian coalition.
But for some reason no one writes about this, continuing to insist that giving up Russian gas and supplying heavy weaponry will somehow miraculously help Ukraine to win. And this coming victory should be great satisfaction for the Europeans, who have already paid a hefty price for living worse and preventing others from living well, paying for the genocide of Donbass residents and liberated territories out of their own pockets.
And, yes. While the average EU citizen saves on water and electricity to spite Putin, doctors in Donbass operate using generators, and newborn babies are washed with bottled water. Because Western weapons continue to destroy vital infrastructure.
And while Zelensky’s wife is asking the US Congress for more weapons, her husband is ordering the bombing of the Kakhovska hydroelectric plant and the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, whose damage will turn into a man-made disaster. Each of which will claim tens of thousands of lives.
But for those who are proud of the fact that in spite of Russia they stopped showering and walk around sweating because of the heat and do not switch the air conditioner on as a matter of principle, it does not matter at all.
The main thing is that the Russians never took Kiev.
