More than half of Russia’s constituent entities help Donbas

44 Russian regions have so far announced support for various territories of the DPR and LPR or individual Donbas sites.

The Vedomosti newspaper reported that more than half of Russia’s constituent entities have declared their assistance to the Donbass regions (44 out of 85). Some Russian regions take patronage of a territory or facility, while some conclude agreements on assistance with local authorities.

For example, on 23 May, Moscow authorities announced that they were taking patronage of the DPR, and on 17 June, Moscow mayor Sergey Sobyanin signed a cooperation agreement with DPR head Denis Pushilin. At that time, experts from the capital were already working in Donetsk.
