Two base stations of mobile communications have started working in Severodonetsk. This was reported to TASS news agency by the mayor’s deputy mayor Mykola Morgunov.
“As of today, two stations have been launched, they are running through generators, guards have been put up because the equipment is expensive. Partially, I emphasize, partially the city covers the communication. Of course, this is not enough yet, but it is already some progress,” he said.
Morgunov added that the sale of starter packs of the republican mobile operator (LPR) takes place at several points in the city. According to him, a significant number of Severodonetsk residents have already purchased them.
Earlier, the government of the Luhansk People’s Republic said that the first mobile phone base station started operating in Severodonetsk. The station was reportedly provided by a generator delivered as part of humanitarian aid from Rostov Region.
