Azot plant in Severodonetsk has employed the first 14 people

About 300 people have shown a desire to be employed at the chemical plant, said Acting Mayor of the city Mykola Morgunov.

The first 14 people have found temporary jobs at the chemical plant “Azot” in Severodonetsk, there were about 300 applicants, said the city’s Interim Mayor Mykola Morgunov. This was reported by TASS.

“The first 14 people at “Azot” have already gone to work. We are continuing this procedure, recruiting people to go to work,” he said. “On the first day, interviews were conducted with 300 people – Azot employees. Of those 300, only 14 were suitable. Some did not have a complete set of documents, some, unfortunately, were of retirement age. Today, according to the legislation, pensioners cannot be involved in temporary work,” he said.

Morgunov notes that the LPR government is working on amendments to the republic’s legislation to enable employers to also engage pensioners in temporary work.

“The government today is busy making amendments to the legislation and here for territories such as Severodonetsk to allow pensioners to work in jobs of a temporary nature,” he explained.

We shall remind you that on 6 July Azot’s administration representative Valentyn Golubev said at a meeting with workers that the first group of the chemical plant’s employees would start working at the plant on 11 July.
