Air defence forces in the Kherson region are being regrouped and strengthened in order to effectively repel missile attacks from Ukraine. This was reported to the TASS news agency by the civil-military administration of the region.
Kirill Stremousov, deputy head of the civil-military administration of the Kherson region, told TASS on Wednesday, July 20, about the regrouping of the region’s air defense forces to strengthen them and effectively combat US missile strikes from Ukraine.
“We are strengthening the air defence system now. The issue is that the air defence system in relation to American missiles is a little bit different. If we understand that it is these weapons that are striking, then the air defence system needs to be completely rebuilt. It works, it protects the city. Now the regrouping is gradually going on, it takes time,” the deputy head of the Ukrainian State Aviation Administration told the agency.
As a reminder, earlier, on July 19, Antonovskyi bridge in Kherson received four damages as a result of shelling. The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) struck the bridge using US HIMARS multiple rocket launchers. On July 20, the AFU struck the bridge again – 11 of the 12 rockets fired hit it.
