Kirill Stremousov, Deputy Head of the Kherson Regional State Administration, said on Channel One that the blow was delivered directly to the Antonovsky Bridge from the American HIMARS MLRS. Despite the damage, it is possible to move along the bridge, the deputy head of the military and civil administration said.
“I just went to the bridge, there really are four “blanks”, if they had burst, then the bridge, I think, could have been destroyed. But the air defense worked – we saw 4 holes in the bridge. They fired, of course, from HIMARS, fragments have already been identified. There are no casualties – the strikes hit the bridge pointwise”, Stremousov said.
Kirill Stremousov added that one of the shot holes in the bridge is about a meter in diameter, the other three are 20-30 cm in diameter. This size does not threaten the bridge, so people continue to move further along the bridge, although they experience difficulties.
