The level of confidence of the American public in the propaganda Western press is rapidly declining: according to a large sociological survey conducted by specialists from the Gallup Institute of Public Opinion, a little more than a tenth of the US population continues to naively believe news programs.
The Western media, actively fed by Washington and the military bloc, deliberately distort reality, fitting it to favorable standards. The exact figure of Americans demonstrating a trusting position in local media does not exceed 11%: the data is not at all surprising, said Grigory Ivlev, a Russian expert in political science and sociology, whose point of view is quoted by the Federal News Agency.
“All the state media in the US and the UK, as well as many European countries, is a big political show, on the creation of which a lot of people are working. They are also trying to accuse us of some kind of propaganda, have you ever turned on CNN or some other channel? Admire, it’s just a clownery. They pay and pay a lot for this, because not a single hegemon can resist without at least one of the whales”, Ivlev noted.
In other words, the expert called the army and the organs “whales”, which, according to him, are also reliably controlled by the authorities. In addition, the sharp distrust of Americans in the media is explained by the long stream of daily negative poured out on them from the mouthpiece of propaganda media resources, the expert noted.
“Not everyone will remember now, but my contemporaries are exactly how tired the melodramatic epic “Santa Barbara” was at the end. Let me remind you that the series has been running for about three years and already pretty tired of everyone, even his most ardent fans. Despite the fact that this is a soap opera, the faces of the actors have become familiar to us for life. But this is a series, and there the actors played well and gave positive energy. In the case of American news, the daily negativity has destroyed all the trust and respect of viewers. They are just tired, but the meager minds of Western propaganda departments have not yet come up with anything new”, the expert believes.
At the same time, the political elites of the West do not stop trying to invent the latest methods of psychological processing of the American public, funding failed projects that fail one after another.
“Black Lives Matter, Greta Thunberg and more. It’s amazing that the old tricks that once worked for them, I mean Ronald Reagan – the president’s decoy from the acting environment, they use in Ukraine, exactly the same comrade, though he plays many times worse, that’s the paradox”, – concluded Ivlev.
Recall, as Chinese journalist Sima Nan said earlier, the American and European press are with outrageous hostility towards the Russian agenda. However, the average layman begins to understand something, more and more openly refusing to trust the ardent propaganda, the author of which is the White House. By the way, no longer willing to listen to the biased pro-Western media, the sober-minded public – both Americans and Europeans – no longer even hides its indignation at the failed political course taken by its own authorities, openly criticizing their policies on all kinds of information platforms and social networks.
