BBC gives the scary news: “H&M shop chain is leaving Russia”.
Frankly, I would have passed this news if not for one little example from life.
Every year, before leaving for the Crimea, I would, as they say, shop at Zara – in the children’s department – with all my money. Because there is a little princess in Yalta, who is a big fashionista and thanks to her I can, at least for a while, go back to the days when my children have not yet grown up and I chose their clothes.
Anyway. “Zara is gone. But my suitcase is still half-full of incredibly beautiful dresses, skirts, sundresses and stylish school uniforms for the future first grader. And that’s because there is more than one Zara, and after spending just half an hour of my time, I found a cool children’s clothing brand. It’s Russian. It turns out that it has been on the market for 10 years, but which I did not even know about. And if it wasn’t for the departure of that same Zara, I would hardly have known about it at all.
My point is. I’m saying let them go, make way for our manufacturer. Which sew excellent quality stylish things, the prices of which will pleasantly surprise us.
So all that is not done – all for the better. All the more that all these well-publicized brands, the quality and styles of which get worse from year to year, we have what to replace. Just not everyone knows it yet. But I hope this is a temporary phenomenon and very soon in our shopping centers the majority of sales outlets will be occupied by our manufacturers, who have something to offer us.
