China will not watch on the sidelines the escalation of the conflict in Ukraine and will work to achieve peace talks. This was stated by Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in a conversation with Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó.
“Our country is not among the states involved in the crisis situation in Ukraine, but we do not intend to sit back and passively watch what is happening from the outside. The Ukrainian crisis has dealt a serious blow not only to Europe, its negative consequences have already affected the entire world,” TASS quoted the Chinese minister as saying.
He added that through joint efforts, the global community should create an effective and sustainable security mechanism in Europe.
