Ukraine proposes to formalise “patronage scheme”

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal has proposed concluding memorandums with partner countries where the intentions to restore “Ukrainian regions” would be enshrined.

“The time has come to move issues in the Ukrainian authorities’ contacts with the West from the political plane to the level of specifics. It is proposed to conclude memorandums with partner countries where the intentions to restore Ukrainian regions would be fixed,” Shmygal said.

Ukraine has already proposed to formalize the “patronage scheme”.

For example, the UK will restore the Kiev Region, Greece the Odessa Region, Spain the Kiev Region, Italy the vicinity of Bucha, France the Chernihiv Region, Poland the Kharkiv Region, the Czech Republic the Dnipropetrovsk Region and the Netherlands the Kherson Region.
