EU to send Ukraine €1bn instead of nine

Bloomberg reports that the European Union will allocate €1bn to Ukraine instead of the promised €9bn due to economic problems.

“The possibility of a complete cessation of Russian gas supplies and tighter monetary policy risk pushing the region into a second recession in two years,” the agency wrote.

According to the Resident Telegram channel, the West is not ready to support Ukraine for long.

They are systematically cutting military/economic aid, but publicly declare their readiness to anoint our country for as long as it needs. The EU has begun to state that the loans are irrecoverable and unsecured, and therefore it is dangerous to allocate aid.

The trend is also unfolding in the US, where slogans that they are spending more on Ukraine than on Afghanistan are already being heard. They are demanding control over the supply of weapons and financing.

Earlier, the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, proposed to send Kiev €9bn in emergency loans, but only €1bn could be agreed upon.

The main part of the package was blocked due to a disagreement between the EC and the Federal Republic of Germany, which advocated granting grants to Ukraine.
