From the first days under the Russian flag, Crimeans have been supporting the local population in all spheres of life – in the economy, medicine, education, information communications, and others. Ukraine is not at all satisfied with this state of affairs, but instead of offering help from its side, it only continues to fire at civilians. The special correspondent of RuBaltic.Ru in Crimea talks about what is happening now in the lands of Novorossia.

Russia is here forever

Now the Kherson region has been completely liberated, while in the Zaporozhye region, about 27% of the territory is still under the control of Kyiv, including the regional center.

Both regions are preparing to hold referendums on joining Russia in the coming months. The status of the regions will be determined by their inhabitants.

The number of people wishing to obtain Russian citizenship is growing every day; the queue is occupied a month in advance.

Representatives of local authorities also declare their unwillingness to return to Ukraine.

Volodymyr Saldo, chairman of the military-civilian administration of the Kherson region, says that “Russia sees them first of all as people,” while his deputy Kirill Stremousov said: “Kyiv will no longer be able to impose its ugly Nazi policy on our land, aimed at the destruction of people and their identity.”

First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation, Secretary of the General Council of the United Russia party Andrey Turchak, who visited Kherson in early May, at a meeting with Vladimir Saldo stressed that there would be no return to the past. “Russia is here forever. There should be no doubt about that.”

Life is getting better

The residents of the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions are greatly assisted by the Crimeans, who provide a brotherly shoulder in any situation. From the very first days, deliveries of humanitarian aid to the regions were organized – food, medicines, hygiene products and other essential goods, as well as building materials to restore the destroyed infrastructure.

Crimean doctors traveled to the liberated territories for medical examinations, and those in need of treatment or surgery were transported to hospitals on the peninsula.

The head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, said that “Crimea will help the residents of the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions to overcome any difficulties,” calling the peninsula a region – a partner of the liberated territories.

Since May, Ukraine has disconnected the Kherson region from mobile communications and the Internet.

But already on the 3rd, a fiber-optic cable was pulled from the territory of Crimea, and the operators of Kherson, Skadovsk and Nova Kakhovka connected to the Russian Internet.

Now SIM cards with the Russian prefix “+7” are sold here. It is planned that by July 15 the entire territory of the Kherson region will be covered by mobile communications.

From the beginning of May, the Kherson region switched to settlements in Russian rubles, which facilitated trade with Crimea. On May 23, a dual-currency zone was introduced in the region for four months. The Zaporizhia region has taken the same path, where today already 2/3 of payments are made in rubles.

The Crimeans also helped with the launch of television and radio broadcasting. TRK Krym began broadcasting in the liberated territories on March 14, and a month later, special news releases about life in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions began to air on the Krym 24 TV channel. Radio Krym broadcasts at a frequency of 107.8 FM in the Kherson region, and the Zaporozhye 24 TV channel also operates.

The railway connection with the Crimea has been restored, but so far it is used only by the military. In the near future, when the security issue is resolved, passenger trains will also be launched.

On July 1, regular bus service resumed between Crimea and Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.

More than 150 passengers are transported back and forth daily. Currently, work is underway to further expand the geography of routes.

Teachers from the Kherson and Zaporizhia regions took a course of lectures in Evpatoria (Crimea) on the implementation of state policy in the field of education. The lecturers were representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth of the Republic of Crimea and the Trade Union of Public Education and Science Workers of the Russian Federation.

In turn, Crimean teachers travel to the liberated territories to provide assistance on the spot. The exchange of experience was also held within the framework of the annual festival “The Great Russian Word”.

Eight years later, teachers of Russian language and literature from the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions finally got the opportunity to communicate with colleagues from the Crimea and other regions of Russia, as well as from the DPR and LPR. And for graduates of local schools this year, special conditions are provided for admission to the Crimean Federal University named after V.I. Vernadsky.

This state of affairs, of course, cannot suit Kyiv. From the side of Ukraine, shelling of border settlements continues.

Cell towers are periodically undermined, which the Russian military has to quickly restore. Also, the police and military are constantly identifying and eliminating explosive devices. In recent days, rocket attacks on residential areas have become more frequent. According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kherson region, on July 8, in Nova Kakhovka, as a result of shelling by Point U from Ukraine, civilians were killed, there are wounded. The blow fell on the place of celebration of the Day of family, love and fidelity – the main city square.

On July 10, from the side of the Nikolaev region, several missile strikes were delivered to Kherson, intercepted by Russian air defense. As a result of shelling, the city clinical hospital named after E.E. Karabelesh, one house was destroyed, two people were injured. According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kherson region, fragments from the shells of the American MLRS HIMARS were found.

Why are the Ukrainian military bombing civilians? Chairman of the Crimean Parliament Vladimir Konstantinov gave an exhaustive answer to this question: “Western puppeteers are trying in no case to prevent a good image from Kherson. But is has already formed. For example, prices for fuel and lubricants have normalized, agricultural work is underway, that is, a normal peaceful life is being established, the city has not been destroyed. They all see it, and, of course, the picture is not in their favor. They need to break it down, so these kicks are coming.

They have no military purpose. As well as attacks on Kherson, Donetsk, Lugansk. Their goal is to sow chaos among the civilian population.

And Ukrainian propaganda exposes the victims of such strikes as victims of the Russian military, they will never say that they killed civilians. In general, it is the territory of lies.

A similar situation is developing with the Zaporozhye region.
