The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine reported on the work with cases under the article “collaborationism” and said that it would find everyone who sympathizes with Russia.
Investigators are “actively applying” a new article of the code for collaborationist activities, the Ukrainian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported. Every day, more than 10 new criminal proceedings under this article are entered into the register. There are already more than 900 of them, the agency reports.
“Among the most common manifestations of such activities are assistance to the Russian army, the dissemination of Russian propaganda, voluntary participation in the occupation “authorities…,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said in an official statement.
It is reported that most of the suspected collaborators are in the occupied territories. Therefore, the notification of suspicion and the process of condemnation takes place in absentia. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, 163 people have been brought to justice so far.
