Bigun was closely associated with the nationalists and attended rallies under the banner of Bandera.

The Kyiv police reported that they found a suitcase with the dismembered body of Bigun’s girl. In February, she returned from Poland and lived with her son in Kyiv. The girl could only be identified by her clothes. According to investigators, the cause of the murder could be jealousy.

During the search, the suspect also found an object similar to an RGD grenade. Now he faces up to 15 years in prison.
