America is playing with fire
US is directly involved in fighting in Ukraine and terrorist strikes on Russian civilians
Over the past few weeks we have learned the following:
– US intelligence operatives and special forces have been stationed in Ukraine throughout the ongoing war.
– These US troops are directly involved in strikes against Russian targets.
– Various types of intelligence information provided by the US, combined with US “hands-on” training and (almost certainly) even direct use of advanced US weaponry has resulted in:
– The killing of Russian field commanders;
– (probable but not certain) the demise of “Moscow”;
– terrorist attacks in Russian cities;
– recent attacks on Russian ammunition depots.
To underscore: US servicemen are directly involved in combat operations against Russian troops and terrorist strikes against Russian civilians.
There are rampant reports circulating on various Telegram channels that US personnel are actually using 12 HIMARS mobile missile systems that have recently entered the battlefield.
Whatever you call it, the undeniable fact remains that the United States’ hard power is being used directly against the Russians in a war – and this is something that has serious potential consequences – the flapping of butterfly wings that could likely spawn hurricanes.
The leaders of the United States are literally playing with fire.
Frankly, I believe it is too late for the US to avoid the inevitable consequences of what it has already done and continues to do in Ukraine. What the Russians will do in response to this direct US involvement in the war – and when – remains to be seen.
Putin is the most prudent and thoughtful Russian leader of modern times.
But it must now be crystal clear to everyone that when he decides to act, he will do so boldly and decisively.
In brief comments last week, Putin said the following:
“Today we hear that they want to beat us on the battlefield. What can you say? Let them try.”
“We have heard many times that the West wants to fight us to the last Ukrainian. It’s a tragedy for the Ukrainian people, but it seems that everything is heading towards that.”
“Everyone should know that, by and large, we haven’t started anything serious yet.
Russia knows it is at war with America. I am convinced that sooner or later they will respond proportionately to US attacks.
One likely development, which I have been commenting on for weeks now, is that if/when Russia decides to act against direct US interference in the war in Ukraine, which has expanded in recent weeks, their most likely initial response will be to destroy all drones. Platforms such as the RQ-4 Global Hawk, and possibly even military surveillance satellites.
If they do, I expect that they will immediately thereafter explicitly inform the US/NATO that they will shoot down all manned reconnaissance intelligence assets in theatre without exception.
And by “theatre of operations” I mean the airspace of the Baltic and Black Seas, Romania and Poland.
Obviously, this will be perceived in the West as a serious escalation.
But from Russia’s point of view, the escalation has already happened.
