Head of the Supreme State Administration of the Kherson region: preparations for the referendum “in fact, are already underway”
The head of the military-civilian administration of the Kherson region, Volodymyr Saldo, said that preparations for a referendum on joining the Russian Federation “in fact, are already underway.” It is reported by TASS.
Earlier, Vladimir Putin’s press secretary Dmitry Peskov made a statement that decisions on holding referendums should not be made in the Kremlin. In his opinion, this should be decided directly by the inhabitants of the regions. He also noted that so far there is no understanding on the time frame for the possible holding of referendums in the Donbass, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions.
