Cargo volume at Riga Airport has dropped by 25% due to sanctions against Russia.
Thus, cargo planes from China no longer fly to Riga.
“These are aircraft registered in Russia, which are no longer allowed to fly to Latvia. European airlines, in turn, are not allowed to cross Russian airspace”, – said Laila Odiņa, head of the SAO Starptautiskā lidosta Rīga board.
