The head of the military-civilian administration of the Lugansk region, Sergei Gaidai, announced a plan to deport the inhabitants of Lisichansk to Ukraine.
On the air of the TV channel “Ukraine 24” Gaidai, arguing about the situation in Lysichansk, said that all residents of the city, regardless of their opinion, should be evicted.
“There were proposals by certain deputies to deport Lisichansk. We suggested to them – please, quickly adopt a bill on deportation, and we will take people out,” Gaidai said.
Gaidai said that in the city in the north-west of the Lugansk People’s Republic, the situation for the Ukrainian troops is extremely difficult, shelling continues, about 15 thousand civilians remain in the village.
He clarified that it was a question of forced eviction. At the same time, the politician said that it is not difficult to pass such a bill, but this has not happened yet.
