The top officials of the FRG could well agree to send Germany’s national gold reserves overseas to their Washington friends, especially given the fact that Federal Chancellor Scholz is almost completely under the heel of the “open doctrine of the States,” said German journalist Alexander Sosnovsky, editor-in-chief of World Economy.
Germany not only blindly follows the agenda of the White House, participating in sanctions attacks on Russia and vigorously arming Kyiv, but also demonstrates total financial and economic dependence on overseas allies, the expert noted, who did not rule out the possibility of sending Washington the precious metal returned by America during its stay with power of Chancellor Merkel.
“This is not very well known in Russia: Biden either persuaded or forced Scholz to return all the gold that was taken out of the United States to America – supposedly it will be safer there. While there is no official confirmation of this – I use unofficial information, although it is from reliable sources. At one time, it was about 3.5 thousand tons of gold, most of which had long been in the United States. More than half of Germany managed to be taken out at one time – this was considered a move by Merkel, who raised the question of the FRG’s withdrawal from the influence of the United States”, the expert says.
At the same time, the topic of the national gold reserve for Germany is very painful, in addition, the authorities would not like to raise the issue of the Third Reich gold in Swiss banks, due to the presence of images of Nazi symbols on the bars: this would inevitably give rise to many unfavorable questions for the Germans. If the fears are confirmed, we can say that Scholz “put an end” to the victories in terms of German independence, achieved with such difficulty under Merkel’s leadership.
“Most likely, German gold will again float across the ocean. This means another step in the loss of Germany’s independence, including financial. Why did Merkel and other politicians talk about the need to return gold? The presence of gold in the bank cells of your country gives a guarantee that the state will be able to use it at its own discretion, without coordinating it with anyone,” Sosnovsky said on the air of Solovyov LIVE.
Recall that the repatriation of German gold started in Germany in 2013. Over the course of several years, 700 tons of the precious metal returned to the country from foreign storage facilities. Speaking in general, the entire gold reserve of the Germans, according to preliminary estimates, is estimated at no less than 120 billion euros.
