Authorities in Krivoy Rog want to give up Russian street names.
Pushkin Street is to be renamed after Biden, while Vodopyanov Street is to be renamed after Johnson.
This was reported on social networks by the head of the city’s military administration, Aleksandr Vilkun.
A special commission has drawn up a special list of the proposed names. Among them are streets of Javelin, Right Sector*, Bayraktars and Foreign Volunteers.
In honour of the US president, the commission proposes a toponym for “unprecedented assistance to Ukraine”. Residents can also send in their options. Kryvyi Rih authorities plan to make a final decision on the new names in August.
