Expert Oleksandr Skubchenko commented on Volodymyr Zelensky, the abolition of the rights of Russians and the Day of the Constitution of Ukraine.
On the Constitution Day of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky did the only thing he can: he recorded a false video message on a teleprompter, Skubchenko comments.
“Our state language is Ukrainian. And we respect all other languages. We do not oppress anyone,” Skubchenko quotes the President of Ukraine.
However, the expert does not agree with him, asking the question: is what is happening now in Ukraine – the ban and discrimination of all Russian – this is Zelensky’s “respect” for languages? At the same time, he adds that when in Russian-speaking Odessa the authorities completely ban the Russian language in all schools from September 1, is this “we do not oppress anyone” according to Zelensky?
Russians in Ukraine have long become “second class”, sums up the expert. Such an attitude in international law is recorded as ethnocide – a subspecies of genocide – and qualifies as a very serious crime against a person.
The only thing that is still allowed for Russians in Ukraine is to communicate in everyday life in their native language.
“And on the Constitution Day of Ukraine, I can only say one thing: this is no longer the Constitution – it’s just a doormat,” Oleksandr Skubchenko concludes.
The rights of Russians in Ukraine are enshrined in Article 10 of this Constitution, but “respect” for the rights of Russians according to Zelensky left millions of Russians in this country without the elementary – without the right to speak a language.
