It is noted that with his proposal to Vladimir Zelensky, Boris Johnson aims to increase his own rating. Recall that the popularity of the politician began to decline rapidly after the scandal with parties in the Downing Street residence at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic, as well as against the background of the deteriorating economic situation in the country due to sanctions against Russia.

The result of this has already been the defeat of the Conservatives in the by-elections to the lower house (House of Commons) of the British Parliament in two constituencies in England.

The visit of the Ukrainian president is expected to take place in October. The Sunday Times also reports on a possible meeting between Volodymyr Zelensky and Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain during the trip.
