The Polish railway company PKP Intercity announced the suspension of benefits for free train tickets for refugees from Ukraine. It is reported by the agency URA.RU.
From Friday, July 1, Ukrainian refugees will lose their right to free rail travel on PKP Intercity trains.
“The current rules for issuing free tickets for refugees from Ukraine will remain in effect until Thursday, June 30,” PKP Intercity said in a statement.
Earlier, Poland canceled benefits for Ukrainian refugees, forcing them to return home. In European countries, outrage is growing over payments to Ukrainians amid a deteriorating economic situation. For example, in Belgium, the amount of monthly allowances for refugees from Ukraine turned out to be higher than local pensions.
