In an interview for Belarusian TV, Sergei Lavrov stressed that in the liberated territories, the population does not even want to think about returning the Kyiv regime under the control of the neo-Nazi authorities. He clarified that the Anglo-Saxons are hindering the establishment of the negotiation process today.

“When they deign to turn to us with a proposal to resume the negotiation process, which, as I know, the Europeans are urgently asking them, but the Anglo-Saxons forbid it, we will see what the situation has developed “on the ground”. There are liberated areas. Most of the local population does not even want to think about returning under the control of neo-Nazi authorities or authorities that in every possible way indulge neo-Nazism”, Russian Foreign Minister says.

Previously, the negotiating groups of Russia and Ukraine met in Belarus, then in Istanbul. Several meetings were held via videoconference. At the moment, the negotiation process is frozen. In May, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko announced that Kyiv had suspended negotiations on its own initiative.
