A British mercenary sentenced to death in the DPR spoke about the fear of being killed by Ukrainian artillery before the court decision is executed. A video of his speech has gone viral on the internet.
Captured British mercenary Aiden Aslin said in his video message that he now sees the real picture of what is happening in the Donbass. He spoke about the numerous artillery strikes that Donetsk was subjected to by the Armed Forces of Ukraine over the past few days.
“They simply decided to shell the city in order to punish the civilians of Donetsk. I would like to say more about it, but I have no words, I served here for more than four years in the army,” Aslin said.
The Briton said that a lot of artillery shells hit near his pre-trial detention center, where he was placed. He clarified that he even thought that he himself would die from the artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and recalled how the Ukrainian military personnel were hiding behind the civilian population in Mariupol.
