A former soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, taken prisoner by the Russian Armed Forces, during interrogation spoke about the order of the command to carry out a terrorist attack in a Kherson hotel where the Russian military lived, RIA Novosti reports.
Captured Staff Sergeant of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Timko (platoon commander A1978 of the 55th separate artillery brigade) said that the order to carry out a terrorist attack against Russian servicemen was given by Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Kolesov.
In a group with other fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, dressed in civilian clothes, Timko was supposed to inspect the hotel, but the Russian security forces managed to uncover a sabotage group of militants under the command of a staff sergeant and detain them.
“I received a command related to the fact that the Russian military live in the Stagecoach Hotel, and I need to proceed with the liquidation. It is necessary, so to speak, to make noise and act of terrorism. I decided to conduct reconnaissance in order to understand where and what. I walked down the street, watched the movement, people, and in general what was happening in the hotel”, RIA quotes Timko.
However, later it became known that the Stagecoach Hotel was mainly inhabited not by Russian military personnel, but by Ukrainians who had got to Kherson from Nikolaev, Krivoy Rog and other cities controlled by Ukraine.
