Zaporizhzhya agrarians have started to bring grain to Berdyansk port for shipment

Grain stocks of Zaporizhzhya region have begun to be brought into the port of Berdyansk to resume sea shipments. This was reported by a member of the main council of the military and civil administration of Zaporizhzhia region, Volodymyr Rogov.

Volodymyr Rogov on Tuesday, June 21, announced the start of sea shipments of grain reserves in Zaporizhzhya region, in particular to prepare storage areas for the new harvest. He stressed that demand for Zaporizhzhya grain is extremely high – we are talking about thousands of tons.

“Now the main buyers of our grain – the Middle East, Africa, Turkey, and the mass of traders, including North American traders. This once again confirms the duplicity and hypocrisy of Americans: officially they impose sanctions, but in spite of the sanctions they are going to make money on the grain market. Certain volumes have already been contracted”, Rogov told TASS.

The Zaporizhzhya regional state administration said that the grain harvesting campaign in the region should start in a day. In this connection the authorities of the liberated territory of Zaporizhzhya intend to assist farmers in removing the accumulated remains of last year’s harvest and will not limit their choice of markets.

According to the Zaporizhzhya Regional State Administration, about 1,5 million tons of agricultural products of the last harvest are stored in the region. Most of them are expected to be sold in the Middle East through Crimea.
