Markus Krebber, CEO of the German energy company RWE, said that the problems with high energy prices in Germany are due to the fact that Germany is buying fuel today “at significantly higher and continuing to rise prices.”

Krebber said that against the background of a range of problems caused by the anti-Russian economic policy of the West, the volume of Russian gas supplies has already decreased significantly. In his opinion, the solution of the problem with Germany’s energy supply may take from three to five years.

“It takes time before new capacities are created and other countries can supply additional energy resources,” he said in an interview with the Suddeutsche Zeitung newspaper.

Recall that a significant reduction in the volume of Russian gas for Germany is associated with the problems of servicing the Nord Stream 1 gas pipeline. Reducing the volume of pumping was a necessary measure against the backdrop of difficulties with the return of Siemens gas turbines from Canada, which are being repaired there.
