The head of the Lugansk People’s Republic, Leonid Pasechnik, has said that the region is ready to become part of Russia.
He said that the main thing for the republic is to be together with Russia.
“I will tell you frankly: it is absolutely unimportant what status we will be in. The most important thing is that we will be together,” Pasechnik told RIA Novosti.
He noted that LNR residents have already decided for themselves that they want to be with Russia and speak their own language.
“We want to be part of a big powerful motherland, for which spirituality is very important, for which moral and ethical values are important,” he said.
According to him, there is a struggle between the West and Russia in Ukraine right now.
